Are rubber and computer-generated seals allowed in Louisiana?
Yes, with one condition. LAC 46:LXI § 2701.A.2 accepts rubber seals and permits computer-generated seals, as long as each has the same design and size as the authorized seal.
That phrase is the whole test. A rubber stamp or a digital image has to match the approved design line for line and in size, so a resized PDF image fails it. The text relied on for this page does not mention embossers, so this page states no rule on them.
How do signature and date relate to the Louisiana seal?

LAC 46:LXI § 2701.A.5 governs electronic transmission and prescribes a replacement statement for it. The statement opens with the words "This document was originally issued and sealed by" and then gives the licensee's name, license number and the date of sealing.
Because the rule sets the words, do not paraphrase them on your sheets. Copy the complete statement exactly as LAC 46:LXI § 2701.A.5 prints it, then fill in your own name, number and date.
Can you keep sealing during Louisiana's renewal grace period?
Do not assume so. La. R.S. 37:697 lets a person who renews within 120 days of expiration keep the right to renew, but that window protects renewal, not sealing, and the seal restriction takes effect before it closes.
The provision that sets that earlier point is not among the sources cited on this page, and the cited rules do not otherwise address sealing after a lapse. Renewing before your expiration date keeps the question from arising.
