Stamp Product Warranties

Our stamps have a 6-month (180 day) warranty from the date of purchase. If you need to have your stamp that is still under warranty sent back for evaluation, repair, or replacement, please contact our customer service team. Be sure to include your order number and pictures of the issue. Our team will troubleshoot with you or send you a return authorization form. Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective stamp of identical size and impression. You must use ink designed for your type of stamp. Use of any other kind of ink will ruin your stamp and voids the warranty. You would be responsible for return shipping to send back products of any kind.

Seal Product Warranties

Our embossing seals are covered under warranty for 2 years from the purchase date. If you need to have your seal that is still under warranty sent back for evaluation, repair, or replacement, please email our customer service team. Be sure to include your order number and pictures of the issue. Our team will troubleshoot with you or send you a return authorization form. You would be responsible for return shipping to send back products of any kind. Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective seal with one of identical size and impression.
For embossing seals, the warranty would cover items such as slipped dies or issues with the handle or base deemed as regular wear and tear. Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective seal with one of identical size and impression. If you have an embosser that has stopped making an impression and is still in the warranty window, please email our customer service team with your order number and pictures of the issue.
For embossing seals, the warranty would not cover issues such as a bent insert or any other damage that is caused by customer misuse.
The warranty agreement is between ESS and the original purchaser with proof of purchase. ESS shall not be liable for any defects or damage caused by the misuse of our stamps & seals whether intentional or unintentional. In the event of defects due to manufacturing, material, or normal usage should occur, we will repair or replace the defective seal with a seal of identical size and impression. This will be done without charge typically within 2 business days after receiving the defective embosser or stamp.

A. Normal Usage: Normal usage constitutes daily business or personal uses for which the stamp or seal was designed. This includes embossing on paper using one sheet at a time and for the correct paper weight for which the seal was designed. Normal usage does not include commercial or industrial stamping or any use where the original seal has been modified or used in conjunction with any type of stamping machine. The most common misuse of the embossing seal is to use the seal on more than one piece of paper or use the seal when the insert is not properly seated in the handle. Doing either of these can cause your seal insert to bend or bow which is not covered under your warranty.

B. Proper Care: Custom made ESS seals should be stored in a dust-free environment. Seals should be kept where the temperature is moderate - extreme heat or cold (such as the inside of a car on a summer's day) might cause the dies of the embosser to become misaligned, resulting in an uneven impression. This is a repairable condition if your seal is still within the 2-year window. If your embossing seal or stamp has been tampered with the seal is no longer covered under the guarantee.

C. Repair/ Replacement: To obtain repairs or replacements within the terms of this guarantee, please email our customer service team with your order number and pictures of the issue. ESS will within 2 business days of receiving the embosser, at our discretion, repair any seal that becomes inoperable due to defect. If the seal cannot be repaired, we will replace it with one of identical size and impression without charge. The performance of duties under this guarantee shall not be required of ESS, if it can be shown that the defect, malfunction, or failure of any seal was caused by customer damage and not resulting from defect or malfunction. If the defect does not fall under proper care or normal usage, then we will communicate with you about potential charges for repair or replacement.

D. Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances shall ESS, Inc. be liable for loss or damage arising out of the use or inability to use the seal or stamp. ESS’s total liability will be replacement or repair only. It is at the discretion of ESS if we repair or replace your seal or stamp.
